About

Boyd Santos, founder of Coexign
Boyd SantosDesigner and developerHalifax, NS

Coexign is an independent design and engineering studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia. One person writes the copy, designs the interface, models the data and ships the code. If something needs to change, you talk to the person who built it.

  • 01

    One point of contact

From the first call to launch, you talk to the person doing the work.

  • 02

    Written scope first

Deliverables, price and timing agreed in writing before you commit.

  • 03

    A documented handoff

Domain setup, launch and a clear handoff of what was built.

Built with

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Supabase
  • Cloudflare
  • Oxalis redesign concept on a phone
  • Skapa Builders redesign concept on a phone
  • Define Hair Studio redesign concept on a phone

Sprint Engagement

  • +Audit
  • +Build
  • +Retain

Fixed-scope sprints, not open-ended retainers. Every sprint has listed deliverables, a boundary and a timeline. Price is set in writing before work starts.

  2. 02Full-stack build
  3. 03Launch & handoff

Sprints

Three ways in. Each one can be the last, and each one tells you exactly what you get.

  1. Sprint 01

    Audit & Rapid Prototype

    7 days|Fixed turnaround

See the fix before you fund the build.

Find what's blocking inquiries on your current site and see the fix working before you commit to a build.

    • Landing page teardown: speed, mobile, inquiry path
    • Prioritized fix list, ranked by impact on the customer path
    • Clickable prototype of the reworked key page
    • Written scope and price for a full build, if you want one

    Not included

    • – Production build or deployment
    • – Backend or third-party integrations
    Start with an audit
  2. Sprint 02

    Full-Stack Flagship Build

2–4 weeks|Typical. Fixed in your proposal

    Launch without a template.

A custom site or web application, designed and engineered end to end, launched and handed off.

    • Custom Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS build
    • CMS or Supabase (PostgreSQL) integration where the project needs data
    • Inquiry forms and agreed integrations built in code
    • Performance, accessibility and metadata checks before launch
    • Domain setup, launch and a documented handoff

    Not included

    • – Feature work after handoff (see Sprint 03)
    • – Paid third-party service fees
    Scope a build
  3. Sprint 03

    Dedicated Engineering Retainer

    Monthly|Scope agreed each cycle

    Keep shipping after launch.

Keep shipping after launch. One engineer who already knows your codebase.

    • Continuous feature shipping against a monthly priority list
    • Performance monitoring and optimization
    • Landing page variants and A/B tests
    • Direct line to the person writing the code

    Not included

    • – Work outside the agreed monthly scope
    • – Rebuilds of a different codebase without an audit
    Discuss a retainer

What sets the price

Every sprint is priced in a written proposal before work starts. These four things move it.

Pages
How many, and how many are unique layouts
Functionality
Forms, booking, data and anything interactive
Integrations
Tools the site has to talk to, agreed before the build
Content readiness
Whether copy and photos exist or need making

Engineering

Architecture choices, not a speed benchmark. Performance is measured on the finished site.

Explore by decision

Typical low-code / template build

Content and form entries sit inside the platform or a plugin's tables. Export and access rules depend on the vendor.

Coexign custom build

PostgreSQL via Supabase when the project needs a database. You own the schema, the data and the row-level access rules.

What it means for you · Data & security

You own your customer data. Inquiries don't sit inside a plugin that can break on an update.

Questions

Questions before we start

  • Can you improve my existing website?

Yes. We can focus on the pages and path that are getting in the way, or rebuild when the structure is the problem.

  • Do I need to have the copy ready?

No. We shape the message around your offer, customers, and the action you need the site to create.

  • Will it work on mobile?

Yes. The same page is designed for phones, tablets, and desktop screens from the start.

  • How much does a website cost?

It depends on pages, functionality and integrations. A brief leads to a written proposal, with deliverables and timing agreed before you commit.

  • I already know I need a rebuild. Do I still need an audit?

No. If you already know your requirements, send a brief or email boyd@coexign.com with your goals and timeline, and we will set up a short intro call to frame the scope.

Contact

You’ll talk to Boyd. The person who designs and builds your site.

Know what you need? Send a brief. The reply comes from the person doing the work, with the next step and, where it fits, a written scope and price.

Not sure yet? Ask for a free homepage audit: a short, personal video review of your site’s speed, mobile experience and customer path. No obligation to start a project.
