2023 Siding Trends To Follow
A snapshot of the darker palettes, mixed materials and vertical accents that reshaped exterior design across the early 2020s.
Exterior work gets easier to plan when the homeowner understands what each system does, which warning signs matter and what questions to ask before the estimate.
Darker colour became normal
Deep charcoal, blue and green moved from accent colours to full-house siding choices. The key is balancing dark cladding with trim, stone and roof colours so the elevation still has hierarchy.
Texture did more work
Vertical siding, faux shake, wood-look products and masonry accents gave homeowners ways to add depth without relying on complicated ornament.
The lasting lesson
Trends change quickly; proportion changes slowly. Materials should still fit the scale and architecture of the house even when the colour palette is contemporary.
