How we handle your information.

McCarthy's Roofing Limited (“McCarthy's”, “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you request a quote or contact us through this website, we collect the details you enter, which can include:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The property address and postal code
• The service you're interested in, your timing and any notes you add
• Your consent for us to contact you about the request

If you call or email us directly, we receive the information you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it to keep the site running securely. This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

Information stored on your device

The quote form saves an unsent draft in your browser's local storage, so you don't lose your progress if you close it. The draft stays on your device, is cleared when you submit the request, and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request and follow up about your roof
• To assess the property, prepare a quote and schedule work
• To keep a record of requests and the work we carry out

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to host this website, deliver form submissions by email and store requests securely. They process information only on our behalf, and some may store or process it outside Nova Scotia or Canada.

Third-party content

Some pages include an embedded Google Map. The archive video on our site uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and only loads once you press play. Google and YouTube may collect information according to their own privacy policies when this content loads.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required for legal, accounting and business records.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to be contacted, by reaching us using the details below. If you have concerns about how we handle your information, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
